From 29th July to 2nd August 2024, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Brawijaya University conducted the Veterinary Training Wave XIII. This event took place in Room 308, Building B, FKH UB, Puncak Dieng Exclusive, Kalisongo, Dau District, Malang Regency. The event was attended by 80 new veterinary candidates. The aim of this event was to equip future veterinarians with the necessary knowledge and skills to face the working world, as well as to provide opportunities for them to participate in open recruitment and job fairs from various related companies.
The five-day event was filled with various beneficial training sessions and open recruitment activities, including:
- Material from the Centre for Applied Psychology Studies, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Brawijaya University (PKPT FISIP UB) on Mental Health in Facing the Working World.
- Open Recruitment and Job Fairs from several renowned companies such as Modern Vet, PT. Medion, Radhiyan Pet Care, PDHB 24 Jam, PT. Romindo, and PT. Satwagia.
- Online material from the Executive Board of the Indonesian Veterinary Association (PB PDHI) on Veterinary Ethics Training.
- Training from PDHI East Java 2 on New Veterinary Candidate Training.
- Training from I Am Vet (Association of Veterinary Alumni, Brawijaya University).
The event ran smoothly according to the planned schedule. The hope for this event is that the new veterinary candidates will be better prepared to face challenges in the working world, possess adequate skills, and be able to contribute optimally in the veterinary field. With the training, open recruitment, and job fairs for new veterinary candidates, it is expected that the participants will find career opportunities that match their interests and skills.
