The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM) at Universitas Brawijaya (UB) has taken proactive measures to uphold academic integrity by implementing the SEB System (Technology-Based Evaluation System) during the Mid-Semester Examinations (UTS) for the even semester. This system is designed to minimise cheating attempts by students using Artificial Intelligence (AI)¹.

On Monday, the Pharmacology course became the first to apply this system, which is integrated with UB’s BRONE platform. The outcome was a smooth and effective process in reducing instances of student cheating.

The Mid-Semester Examinations (UTS) for this even semester will be held from 9th to 17th April 2025. Through the implementation of the SEB System, FKH UB demonstrates its commitment to maintaining the quality of education and ensuring that the evaluation process is conducted fairly and transparently.

This system is expected to serve as a model for other faculties in enhancing academic integrity and reducing cheating during examinations. With this technology, educational institutions can take appropriate measures to prevent and address academic dishonesty.
