VETERINARY REPRODUCTION LABORATORY

The Veterinary Reproductive Sciences Laboratory is a laboratory established based on the Decree of the Chancellor of Brawijaya University Number 278 of 2017. The Reproductive Laboratory has undergraduate practicum activities as well as rotational PPDH student activities on the subject of Reproductive Technology and Artificial Insemination, Midwifery. Learning outcomes in the Reproduction Laboratory include basic concepts, principles and theories as well as skills in applying several skills related to the anatomy and physiology of male and female domestic animals, the oestrus cycle and the application of synchronization techniques and oestrus snapping, Reproductive Endocrinology, semen collection and semen examination, dilution techniques semen and frozen semen processing in domestic animals, techniques for aspiration of oocytes and flushing of embryos/observation of frozen embryos, techniques for handling eutocia and postpartum treatment in domestic animals, techniques for handling dystocia, techniques for handling pre and post parturition in domestic animals and have insight into veterinary ethics and understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the veterinary profession and skills in handling cases in the field.
