Community Outreach

KKN is a learning vehicle for FKH UB students and a means of community service for the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Brawijaya University (FKH UB) to disseminate the knowledge possessed by the FKH UB academic community to the community for the purpose of KKN. Real Work Lectures (KKN) is a mandatory program, because it is a structured program. This means that it can only be taken by students with certain academic requirements and to achieve success they must go through certain stages.

Thematic KKN (MK code UBU60005) is carried out with a specific theme related to the veterinary discipline. Even though the theme is veterinary medicine, activities outside the veterinary discipline can be added as supporting activities. During Thematic KKN, students interact socially with village/district communities, make observations, identify problems, provide suggestions for alternative problem solving, and implement some or all of the alternative problem solutions suggested to the target community. In solving problems faced by the target community, students can do it themselves according to their competencies or act as facilitators to collaborate with competent parties.

KKN Program Criteria:

1. Student KKN themes and programs must obtain approval from the KKN supervisor.
2. The total working time during KKN is 4 credits (182 hours/ 30 active days).
3. The allocation of working hours includes planning and preparation for a maximum of 20% (± 6 days), implementation for at least 40% (± 12 days), evaluation for a maximum of 15% (± 5 days) and report writing for a maximum of 25% (± 7 days). ).
4. The number of KKN programs is at least one program/student.

Requirements for KKN Participants (at least, read the KKN guide for details):

1. Tercatat sebagai mahasiswa aktif Universitas Brawijaya.
2. Telah menempuh kuliah dan praktikum pada semester
3. Bersedia melaksanakan program sesuai dengan target yang ditetapkan, sesuai dengan skema yang KKN yang dipilih.
